Beloved Community Week is almost here! Get ready for a week of healing justice, celebration, and highlights from transformative organizing happening now.

We named Beloved Community Week in honor of the numerous celebrations happening at this time, in the spirit of cultivating a beloved community. This year is extra special as we launch the week on One Love Global's 20th anniversary!

Here's what's ahead!

🎉 Sun, January 14: One Love Global's 20th Anniversary! Tune in for the Facebook stream Sunday afternoon, where we'll share more about our story and impact as we celebrate this milestone.

✊🏿 Mon, January 15: Honoring the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as we reflect on his leadership and teachings on building a more just and compassionate world. We'll be attending "A Day of Celebration" in Lansing, hosted by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission of Mid Michigan. We hope to see you there, and be sure to say 'hello!'

💞 Tue, January 16: One Love Global celebrates the National Day of Racial Healing. Join our all-virtual event at 6:30 pm ET for a conversation on our health as a society seven years since the 1st National Day of Racial Healing. #HowWeHeal is an invitation to connect to the work of building stronger relationships, creating more humane policies and a collective commitment to truth-telling and accountability. 📊 Wed, January 17: Social Media Data Day. Witness the power of racial equity data and storytelling as we uplift and emphasize their crucial role in illuminating truth, upholding accountability, and generating transformative change. Tune in on Facebook and Instagram.

🎊 Thu, January 18: Michigan BREATHE Launch. We are excited to share a vision for the civil rights legislation of our time - The Michigan BREATHE Act! Stay tuned for announcements on our launch, as well as an additional surprise announcement... (p.s. it's big..!)

💪🏾 Fri, January 19: Michigan BREATHE Power-Building. We welcome you to be a part of making history as a community co-sponsor. Join us in moving forward the civil rights legislation of our time! Tune in on Facebook and Instagram.

💖 Sat, January 20: Love, Rest, Gratitude – a day dedicated to embracing love, finding rest, and expressing gratitude for our incredible community of supporters and partners.

Racial Healing Circles

1st Thursday every month from 6-8 PM

Racial healing circles are designed for community building and racial awareness. Circles encourage us to see ourselves in one another, rooted in spiritual storytelling practices of Indigenous cultures. The circle session includes intentional story prompts to guide us in deeper connection with one another.
