RAGINE HEAD | Director of Detroit Operations

Ragine Head graduated from Michigan State University (MSU), majoring in Social Relations and Policy with a minor in Peace and Justice Studies, and a special focus in Political Science. Ragine served in key leadership positions at MSU and was recognized as the W.E.B Dubois - Black Excellence Emerging Leader (2018), Women of Distinction - Distinct Woman (2019), and Co-Chair of the Catastrophe to Masterpiece Women Empowerment Event (2019) among other honors.
Ms. Head worked in the office of Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy focusing on legal research for charges and trials. She worked to improve safety for citizens and assist with the investigation process for criminal cases. In addition, she served as a fellow and community organizer with the Political Action Committee (PAC), NextGenMI where her responsibilities included promoting community engagement and voter education through programs that provided access to constituent resources and awareness to civic engagement opportunities, especially among youth. Ragine’s contributions helped increase voter turnout among MSU students more than 300% between the 2014 and 2018 midterm elections. She currently serves as the Coordinator for the City of East Lansing Census Complete Count Committee and is committed to continue serving the community by acting as a mentor, encouraging political/civic engagement, and promoting economic development.
