AISLINN LANGLEY | Community Impact Coordinator
Born and raised by Michiganders in Lexington, Kentucky, Aislinn Langley grew up thinking of Michigan as a second home and was grateful to be able to spend her undergrad years at Michigan State University. She graduated with high honors in May 2020 with a B.S. in Psychology and minors in Women & Gender Studies and History. During undergrad, Aislinn was involved in advocacy and research on women's health, sexual violence, and substance use in transgender and gender diverse individuals. A growing sense of urgency to get involved in community organizing and social change led her to hold off on plans for graduate school to dedicate a year of full-time service to the Lansing area.
Aislinn began serving with One Love Global in August 2020 as an Americorps VISTA. She is passionate about youth development and is involved in supporting and expanding One Love youth programs like the Peace & Prosperity Youth Action Movement (PPM). Aislinn is also working to develop a Racial Equity Scorecard to track progress towards racial equity in Lansing within a results-based accountability framework.
Aislinn's interests are varied and far-reaching. She is passionate about racial justice, public health, youth development, sexual violence, mental health, climate change, LGBTQ+ issues, and all of the intersections of those topics. She is pursuing a Master's degree in Program Evaluation so she can put her research skills back to work in the service of community organizing and social services in any (or all!) of these fields.
